How to: Hide the Office Shortcut Bar.
Solution:
Right-click on a blank spot and select 'Auto Hide' from the Shortcut menu.
1) Right-click on a blank spot on the Shortcut Bar (where no button exists).
2) Select 'Auto Hide' from the Shortcut menu.

NOTE: The Shortcut Bar will only appear when the cursor or pointer comes near it and will disappear immediately when the pointer no longer rests on it.
